When I had my orientation, it was not only

allowed but encouraged. There are a couple of

reasons for this. One is that it is easy to miss

something that was said that the other person

caught. Also, it is helpful to have your support

person know what to expect post-op. It can also

reassure the support person and include him/her in the process.

I am sure you have gotten replies by now but I wanted to throw my

2cents in. I tool my daughter with me. She is 29 and has been my

biggest supporter. She remembered all the things I forgot so between

the two of us I got ALL the information. I think it is a great idea to

take someone.
