Guest guest
, Right, not tight enough. If you are getting the heel down when applying the shoe but it is rising up, either the shoe is not tight enough or it is too big to get tight enough. Have you verified bar length as per the tips document? I would doubt that the tendon is still tender, I think it is pretty common for our babies to be irritated with us pushing on their feet but can you determine if it is an irritated, " stop messing with me " cry or a true pain cry? Is his blister completely healed? Whatever it is that is going on, it shouldn't still be happening after two weeks in the shoes. We need to figure out what the problem is and help you get this solved, you've been a real trooper so far, but the frustration has to be getting to you, lol! -- let's see if we can't diagnose this with some pictures. Have you joined CFPics yet? If not, it's http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFPics/ Join there and you can send pictures (as attachments) of Nick, just for fun so we can see his cute little face, and his feet, probably both in the shoes and barefoot. When you join the group you will receive a very short survey which has to be completed and sent back to get you approved. Here's what I would suggest for pics to help us figure this thing out: Barefoot - 1) from front/top view, standing bearing weight. 2) from back (straight on), standing bearing weight. 3) 1 of the sole of foot/feet 4) 1 with you using your palm to push forefoot as far up past " L " from the side (profile). This shows dorsiflexion. In Shoes - right after you put them on: 1) The back where you cut out the shoe to see his heel is down 2) Close up of each foot from front/top to see where toes are 3) Full frontal view of whole brace set up Okay, now if you can get these pictures to us and we can't figure this out we'll just have to send Kori to your house personally to help you! : ) Mom to Jenna (4/7/01) & Sammy (9/25/04, RCF, Dobbs' brace, 14hrs/day) > > At this point, I've cut out a square in the heel area of the Markell's > to see if the heel is seated properly.
