Guest guest
, Here is the link to join the cfpic's group, this group doesn't support pics. There is a short survey to be filled out, just send it back to the moderator - Kori - and she should have you approved really quickly. When you send the pics, send one of his dorsiflexion (push his foot up as far as it will comfortably go towards his shin). One of him bearing weight on his feet from the front and back (as best you can) one from the side and one of the sole of the foot (would like to see if there is a pronounced crease on the bottom of the foot). Also send one of him in his brace so we can see the set up. Also, did he wear his brace for 23 hours a day for the first 3 mo's? Did Dr. Albright perscribe this? Our daughter also has rcf, hope we can help get this figured out! & Grace > > > ok **phew** here's the questions and answers... hope it helps.. > > How old is your son? jacob is 6 months old. > Who is casting him? dr albright-trained (supposedly) by dr ponseti himself. > Did he have a tenotomy? yes > Can you tell us how they did that? snipped the heel cord (in office) then recasted for three weeks > How many casts has he had so far? 7.. the 5th for 3 weeks, the last two after the reoccurance. > At what age did he start treatment? he started around 3 months > Were the casts changed weekly? yes til the fifth. > Are the toes on the casts kicked out to 70 degrees? they were, yes. > Were the toes on his current shoes adjusted to kick out at 70 degrees? only the affected foot. the other is at 45. > Was the bar on the FAB set at shoulder width? pretty much, yes. > > im afraid to ask the doctor to restart the casting a third time. i dont want him to call like, DCF on me and tell them im not taking care of my child properly. as soon as i can get my digital camera working, i can send a pic of his foot currently. > > > > > > >
