Guest guest
Yes, the San Diego group is having a support group meeting this Sunday! ******************************* Autism Intervention SoCal Meeting Sunday, July 29 2:30pm to 4:30pm At the Mira Mesa Catholic Charities 9535 Kearny Villa Rd. at Miramar Rd. We invite parents and interested professionals to join us for a presentation from Kurt Woeller, MD, DO and Tranchitella, ND, of Stillpoint Integrative Health Associates: Laboratory Testing and the DAN Protocol: The Role of Functional Diagnostic Testing in the Evaluation of Autistic-Spectrum Disorders Dr. Woeller says, " My intention is not to discuss all the tests available in the DAN Protocol….we will talk about some of the more first and second line tests that are helpful in the diagnosis of underlying physiological dysfunction while discussing some other tests that we use in our practice. " A parents-only discussion will follow the presentation. And….representatives from Kirkman Laboratory will be on hand to answer questions about their dietary supplements. (We're trying to work out a group discount from them, so bring your order & checkbook.) *************************************** About this group. Many of us have shared our baking disasters, and our IEP frustrations, and potty-training horror stories via a moderated support group* over the Internet…you're invited to join us. - Meet other San Diego parents with younger kids on the autistic spectrum who are trying the gluten-free/casein free (GFCF) diet, trying to figure out what services they need, and trying to keep their sanity and sense of humor intact. - If you are trying the GFCF diet, we ask that you bring something GFCF to share at the meeting and copies of the recipe. We'll provide GFCF punch. You don't *have* to bring anything, but… - Meetings are the fourth Sunday of every month. Future presentations include floortime, special ed. advocacy, going GFCF, putting OT into daily activities to name a few. - You may bring your kids, but you must email first as space is extremely limited to the number of kids a few caring volunteer teens can handle in an unstructured play situation till 4:30pm. Videos will be shown. Parents are welcome to stay later, but you become responsible for your child again after 4:30pm when the babysitters leave. ********************************************** To join the moderated Internet group, email Rose at LCRose@.... To reserve childcare for the meeting, email Fry at mfry1@...
