Guest guest
Hi all, My name is F. I have posted replies to this group a coupleof times, but I feel I should formally introduce myself, since I know so much about your lives. I have an almost 6 year old asd son. I have two other sons who are NT, so far. One is three and functioning NT and the other is 15 months and still to early to tell. We have been doing the GFCF diet since Jordan was 3 years old. As the years have gone by, we have made changes and refined his diet. Now he is GFCF, soy free, corn free, peanut free, yeast free, dye free, almost sugar free, low phenols, artificial color and flavoring free. We are also doing nystatin and some supplements. We also hope to start chelation in the fall. Does anyone have any creative ides as to how to decorate a birthday cake? I am using a mix from Miss Roben's so I have that part covered. I just need some ideas as to how to decorate it. He likes Clifford, dinosaurs, and bob the builder. Any ideas? Also, is there anybody else from Alabama? Thanks! F. This may be a late response but I hope it is helpful. The easiest way that I've found is to make the cake and ice it with plain icing. Then put on non-food items for decorations. Toy dinosaurs would be really easy to find. I don't know about Bob the Builder, but you could definitely find construction equipment. If you want to get really fancy you can make the cake in different shapes if you can find a mold, or cut it out in your desired shapes. (For example, I just did a 3 ring circus using round cake pans and store-bought circus figures. A friend of mine made a castle using 2 square layers and cupcakes on each corner for the towers.) You are really only limited by what kind of little toys/figures you can find in the stores (or your kid's toybox) to put on top! , new to GFCF but previously on Feingold diet
