Guest guest
Hi , Sorry, but knowing how it is, I had to chuckle a little for that " poor dumb " woman, that didn't know that wheat means bread, and anything made with flour. Nicer one, was the one of the " unbleached flour " . Sorry you guys, but this is sooooo cute. Tho I must say, I struggle with the same issues. My Therapist knows of the gfcf and phenols free diets, and she's normally very good. Yesterday I come home and (she is also a sitter for my twins at times) she had given regular cookies to the twins-which is ok-some crumbs were on the floor, so while my son gets in the house and I get the groceries, she goes: " I'm afraid just had some gluten " (we had just walked into the door ten seconds prior). I said " huh? " " well there were cookie crumbs on the floor and i guess I didn't clean them all up, so he saw them and pick them up and eat " At that point, what do you do? Me, I would have sticked my fingers in his mouth and take out whatever I could and then rinse his mouth off. She just says " no " . So I hear you. And it doesn't get any better if you are trying to avoid anything that is high in phenols, so...what can I say. I feel for you, just keep up the best you can, and one day you'll get everyone " instructed and educated " on the matter.... Cristina-WA Proud mom to 4.8 yo ASD, & 2 yo NT twins.
