Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dear Beth, Like you, we at Jo-Ann Stores and joann.com have been devastated by the recent attacks on our country. And we, like many others, feel compelled to do something to try to lift the spirit of the American people. UNITY RIBBON GIVE-AWAY THIS WEEKEND To show support for our country and honor the victims and their families, Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. will be giving away red-white-and-blue ribbons at all of our Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts and Jo-Ann etc stores across the nation this Saturday and Sunday. The free ribbons will be available at all 990 stores and will come with instructions for crafting either a unity ribbon lapel pin or bracelet. In addition, joann.com will include the free ribbons and project sheets in all boxes packed this Saturday and Sunday. The free ribbons are available while supplies last. Click for Unity Ribbon project instructions. Our hope is that, in some small way, this can help people express the way they feel in their hearts. WAYS TO HELP THE CAUSE joann.com's membership is over 500,000 strong! If even a small percentage of us join in, we can make a big difference. Members of our team have decided to give blood to our local blood bank, make donations and volunteer our time to the Red Cross. We will be doing all of these things together in the coming weeks. Here are some options and resources for you: 1) Give blood. Call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE to locate the blood bank nearest you. Please note the Red Cross is inundated with calls and blood donations, so consider donating in the next few weeks. 2) Make donations to the American Red Cross. Financial contributions can be made at 1-800-HELP-NOW or online. If you cannot get through to the American Red Cross website, you can make your check out to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and mail it to the following address: American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013. 3) Volunteer. Professional healthcare workers who wish to volunteer their services can call 1- to find out how to help. If you want to volunteer with the Red Cross, please contact your local Chapter. Finally, we'd encourage you to share your ideas on how to help. We're dedicating one of our online bulletin boards to a discussion of how we all might lend a helping hand. You are a creative group -- please click here if you'd like to share thoughts on how you, other individuals, or all of us as a group might contribute. Please forward this note to friends, family, or anyone else you wish to share it with. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and everyone touched by Tuesday's tragic events. Sincerely, Your friends at Jo-Ann Stores and joann.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TBTG! ~beth, mum to shane & grace angelus@... " all children have gifts, some just open them later than others.
