hi there, i was wired for 8 weeks after double jaw too. i had a

terrible time breathing and i would panic which would make it worse.

the best thing to do is just close your eyes and let the air just

come in and out of you. the sooner you relax the better you'll feel.

the desire to drink will naturally come to you. i hardly touched

anything the first week. it amazed me that my body would let me go so

long without food. oh, and i read that someone had problems in the

shower... yeah... be careful. i was so gross and was desperate to

take a shower (and being 16 at the time too vain to let my mother

stay in the bathroom with me)... and i fainted and fell in the

shower. i didn't hit my face thankfully but it put a good scare in

me. also, if your sinuses were cut during surgery you're not supposed

to blow your nose. even though it cleans out tons and tons of crap,

it also tears the scabs out and the sinuses will never heal. i made

that mistake too and it was the only time my surgeon actually

screamed at me.

hang in there. i'm 8 YEARS post op and very happy.
