Guest guest
Diane, It seems odd to me that your doctor is discouraging you from aggressively pursuing your insurance company for coverage if it is clearly medically necessary. Obviously I don't know your dr. or your insurance provider, but my doctor, from the beginning, told me that if presented correctly, insurance, specifically on certain carriers, would cover it. They covered mine and it was not nearly as medically necessary as yours sounds. I would venture to guess that others on the site might agree with me. Have other surgeons evaluated the case and given their input to insurance coverage? Taking out a line of credit on your house seems like a big deal if you have yet to really explore the insurance options. Just my opinion... Good Luck with everything!
