Guest guest
Dr. K is in Delano, CA. A " less diatal " DS will reduce malabsorption and therefore will be less effecive in weight loss, but with fewer side effects. The capacity of the stomach is independent of how much intestine is kept in the alimentary path. By the way, IBS is NOT a contraindication to surgery. Dr. Hess found that a number of his patients had IBS after there gaulbladder was removed (but prior to WLS) and they actually improved after the DS! I had never had bowel problems until I had my gallbladder out a year and half ago and the subsequent diarrhea was horrible and at times, incapacitating. Since my DS 7 weeks ago I haven't had the problem at all. Open DS with Dr. Anthone 7/6/
