Hi All. I just want to introduce myself to the group. Yesterday I

went for my 2 year post op checkup with Dr. Inabnet from Mt. Sinai

Hospital in NY. I had a Lap RNY on June 15, 2001. After the first

year I was down 100 lbs. to 142. I am now 157 lbs. but I feel great.

If I can stay the way I am now I will be happy but I am worried that

I will gain more weight. At 142 I was very flabby. The skin

was " loose " on my legs and my face was drawn. I think I look

healthier now and even with the added weight, which seemed to pour

right into my legs, I still wear the same size I was wearing last

summer. I'm eating healthy for the most part but I must admit that

occasionally I have a couple of cookies or something else sweet. My

portions are still small but probably " normal " for a naturally skinny

person. I can eat just about anything now without getting sick which

may or may not be a good thing. I get hungry often and might be

snacking too much in between meals, even though I try to have healthy

snacks. My exercise is mostly swimming. Due to severe arthritis and

previous back surgeries, that seems to be the best exercise for me.

I would like to hear from people about how they are doing 2 years or

so out and to find out if gaining a small amount of weight back at

this point is " normal " or if I am truly overdoing it. I look forward

to hearing from you. Barbara
