Guest guest
My 4yo daughter, Lizzie, just started SCD for Aspergers. After two days of adhering strictly to the Intro Diet (3 weeks after we started SCD w/out doing the Intro Diet), I am seeing the following: No bowel movements at all for 2 days (very unusual). Fatigue. /fussiness, contrary attitude, nonsensical language, Complaining of a tummy ache last night and this morning. Feverish upon waking this morning, Vomitted right away at breakfast time, after having only 2 sips of warm chicken broth. Then after that, she had a good appetite and ate a good amount of her breakfast cheerfully. Finally late this morning, she had a BM, and it was the MOST well-formed, firm, dark-colored BM I've EVER seen her pass, without seeming to strain. However, a small part of the stool appeared dark red in color--could that be blood? Plus, when I wiped her bottom, there was a very small amount of blood on the paper, and she said, " It hurts. " The stool seems like a good sign, right? Should I keep her on the Intro Diet another 24 hours or so until I see no blood in the next stools and does not vomit or complain of a tummy ache? Does she have to be back to normal to be ready to add a Stage 1 food? Or are the well-formed, dark stools enough of a sign of readiness?
