Guest guest
My son responded very slowly. He was very low functioning. I started gfcf when he was age 3-1/2. I did not notice anything good or bad until about 2-3 months after I started. He is also VERY intolerant of high phenols, very PST deficient. He has been gfcf now for almost 2 years, and is now basically NT. I also believe my son is celiac, so he was much more gluten intolerant than casein, which takes longer to leave the body. For my son, it was a combination of gfcf, phenols, and a few other things. I wonder if his dramatic improvement was more from eliminating phenols than the gfcf, or a combination of both aspects of the diet? > In those children who slowly improve, or less noticeablly, are there PST problems? > Do children with Asperger's respond more quickly than children with low-functioning autism? > I would appreciate any thoughts on these questions, > cheers from Down Under, > Marita > >
