Guest guest
Hi, I have a question about the response of children to the diet. I noticed that some children respond more slowly, whereas in some the improvement is rapid and dramatic. This is what happened with my son. My question is, in those children who respond more dramatically, have there also been phenol related problems eg red ears, red cheeks, aggression? prior to gfcf we had already eliminated many things from his diet that we knew caused difficulties, and I learnt about PST kids at the same time as GFCF, so eliminated high phenol foods as well as gluten and casein. I wonder if his dramatic improvement was more from eliminating phenols than the gfcf, or a combination of both aspects of the diet? In those children who slowly improve, or less noticeablly, are there PST problems? Do children with Asperger's respond more quickly than children with low-functioning autism? I would appreciate any thoughts on these questions, cheers from Down Under, Marita
