Guest guest
Carol L, This is another reason that I feel it is better if the surgeon focuses on the DS. This kind of thing is a common problem. The RNY is so prevelent that most nutritionalists just don't have a clue about the DS. Hull > I am so happy to hear that! She wanted me to eat pureed for month after coming home even though > the doctor had said i could eat what i felt capable of. > thanks again, > Carol L > > We do not count calories after surgery By the time a DSer is a year > out > he > should be eating 2500 calories a day and only absorbing HALF of that! > Half > of that is 1250 calories! Guest guest
Same thing with Dr in Portland......her DS patients get the RNY diet. She wanted one of her DSers on pureed diet for 3 weeks after surgery! The poor thing emailed me asking me what to eat as she was starving for some food to chew!
