Guest guest
I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and am on a group that is also just for women who are pregnant and trying to get pregnant after GBS. We are all doing fine and the babies are awesome. Mine is actually measuring a couple weeks bigger than my due date. There is really no difference after surgery asd long as you wait at least a year, by then you should be eating well and getting in your multi vitamins, your b-12 and your calcium. When you start trying to conceive get on some folic acid to help prevent birth defects, you do not have to wait until prego to get on those, starting early is best and most of us take 800 mcg daily. We have had several sets of fraternal twins too on the 2 groups I am on. I think we DO get more fertile after we lose weight. Guest guest
I had my gallbladder out a year before WLS due to emergency. I had heard that it was normal for them to remove it during WLS but i have heard of a few people that still have theirs. i would rather have it done when they do the WLS and be done with it. I guess it all depends on the surgeon. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
I won't because I had a total hyst. but I am so happy for those who do. I wonder if the fertility is the same but the sex life is better that increases the chances = ) I have a quick question though...... Not really a question but something I thought. I thought they removed the gall bladder automatically when they did the surgery. Those that I spoke to had it taken out during the procedure. I don't have mine but I was just wondering. Guest guest
Hi Ice, I had surgery on 2-10-4 but still have my gall bladder. I think they only remove it if there are problems with it. 2-10-04 404pre-op/358surg/321/160? -- Re: pregnancy after wls I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and am on a group that is also just for women who are pregnant and trying to get pregnant after GBS. Guest guest
Ice, I just had surgery and they didn't take my gall bladder out. They did the ultrasound to make sure I didn't have any problems with my gall bladder and then they left it.
