Guest guest
Hi Carol, Can you give me a little more info on what you mean by " altered sensation in lower lip/chin " ? I am six weeks post op from lower advancement and my lower lip and chin are still completely numb. They feel the same way that they did right after surgery. I know everyone heals differently, and I am really not worried about the numbness at this point...just curious. > > Hello All, > > For any interested here is a quick update. Guest guest
I wouldn't worry too much yet...you are still very early. I believe I was pretty numb at six weeks too. Actually I was numb around my nose, upper gums and upper lip area too (but that is all back now). By altered sensation I mean I can feel my lip and chin but the feeling seems " distant " . If I close my eyes and ever so lightly touch my lip with my finger I do feel it but it tingles...similar to the feeling when you get " pins and needles " in your feet and then you touch your feet...does that make sense?
