Thank you

Plagiocephaly From: melanie.watson@...Date: Mon, 6 Jul 2009 20:41:27 +0000Subject: Re: what else for older plagio babies?

The older plagio group is a group. Try doing a search in . Some of the people on the board banded their babies/toddlers and some have done alternative treatments. Some banded and were unhappy with the final numbers so they have pursued CST or chiro in the toddler and preschool years. Some didn't have the opportunity to band because it wasn't caught until after age 2 or they were told it would round out and listened to their doctors. While we are on the late side doing our helmets at least we are banding within the second year of life. When I compare our situation to the younger babies here, I have to admit I feel jealous, but when I compare my situation to some on that board, I feel lucky that we did go for treatment when we did. I may not be completely happy, but we did get some progress already.

Aparantly the chiro is called activator chiro and involves the use of some sort of tool on the head.

You can also search for a DO on cranial academy.org. There's also a website for the chiro search, but I don't recall it.
