Guest guest
You might want to check out this recent blog post from a long-time SCDer. She did end up having surgery, but please read through the post. She got some very good scan results recently. http://scdadventures.blogspot.com/2010/03/successful-scd-and-still-ileostomy.htm\ l I don't have Crohn's, and have never had any scope. All I can say is my B12, folate, and iron have been steady without regular supplements for a year now. I have been on SCD 2 years, 2 months. The first year I did supplement a lot with B12 and folate but slowly could go without. Hope that helps, Kat http://scdkatfood.blogspot.com > > Okay, I know this is probably out there on another thread, I'm just not sure how to find it! I want to know some specifics about those of you who have been on SCD, without meds, for longer than just a few years. Thanks for any input for a newbie like me! > > 1) How long have you been on SCD? > 2) Have you had a colonoscopy, endosccopy, pill cam, etc. after being on SCD, and what did it show? > 3) What do your blood tests show? CRP? SED? Other markers? > 4) Any other " official " ways your Crohn's has been measured and what did it show? > > I believe in the benefit of SCD and am committed to it! I put myself on it right after being diagnosed. BUT, I haven't yet met anyone who can say that yes, through all of these tests and not just symptom-free, their Crohn's has been helped. So....any input you can give me would be much appreciated!!! > > Pam > AKA newfoundsun http://newfoundsun.wordpress.com > DX 11/09 >
