Guest guest
Estimados Compañeros/as: I am developing a research proposal looking at intimate partner violence (IPV) among farmworker families. In particular, I am intererested in examining at the ways in which work-related stress, alcohol use, structural oppression, etc., may contribute to IPV. Are there farmworker-serving organizations or programs that focus on intimate partner/ domestic violence? Also, are there recent reports or articles on this topic that I should know about? Many thanks for your help. Saludos Cordiales, R. Contact person: Cheryl Gee, cgee@...; 585-325-3050. They have a Domestic Violence component to their services. Also, Pathstone, Inc. Guest guest
: The Migrant Clinicians Network has been involved in research and program development related to IPV and farmworkers for many years. Please see our website at http://www.migrantclinician.org/clinical_topics/family-violence.html for a description of our activities. There is an article in the most recent issue of our newletter “Streamline” about our current project working with men at http://www.migrantclinician.org/news/streamline.html. Please let me know if we can help you in any way with your work. Candace Kugel, CRNP, CNM, MS Migrant Clinicians Network ckugel@... Guest guest
Estimados Compañeros/as: I want to take the opportunity to thank the many listserv members who responded to my inquiry. It is truly gratifying to know that so many farmworker advocates are interested in domestic violation prevention, and to learn more about the innovative programs out there that address this issue.
