Guest guest
I've been told and have read many places that scratch and blood tests are not reliable for testing food allergies, and that the only true way to determine food allergies is elimination tests. Scratch and most blood tests test for immediate allergic reactions. Some blood tests (I think the IgG tests) test for delayed reactions. But according to my doctor, all can cause both false negatives and postives. Having said all that, I'm still considering blood tests for food allergies because I truly feel I'm missing something with my son. Guest guest
Tomatoes are high phenols, and your son's reaction sounds like a high-phenol reaction. Here is more information on that. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm > About 6 weeks ago, we had scratch tests done for food > allergies. showed a 2 for tomatoes, so we > stopped using them.
