Guest guest
Micky, I had a very similar recovery as you. I was switched in November, 2000 so I am about 10 months out. I was absolutely miserable for at least six months with diarhea. It was like you said it just came on me and that was that I had to go right then/there. The good news I am much, much, much better I rarely have that massive urgency. I continue to have diarhea ,but honestly it is usually do to when I eat fats. I didn't even look at butter/mayo or oil for the first 7 months AT ALL!! I'm serious I was on the lowest fat diet I have ever been on. I know it isn't what we signed up for, but that was MY reality. Now, no problem I eat butter (mayo still gives me a hard time, but I try it from time to time). I still have loose stools and I still don't put myself in a situation where I can reach a bathroom immediatly (usually my own). So, life has definitely been altered I am hoping for even more success as time goes by. At one point Fiber Con just did absolute wonders I would strongly, strongly suggest it. I posted a concern just as yours when I was about 3 months out of total desperation and did recieve quite a few people who experienced the same as us. I even heard back from one woman who was going to have it reversed after six months. Knowing what I know now and having been there myself and looking where I am at I would just do whatever it took to get through the next couple of months because it will resolve itself with time and be sooooo worth it. Hang in there and let me know if there is anything I can do..or say:) Brigid
