Im not a milk drinker either. I used to add it to my frappe mix but now I just use ice and water in the blender. I love onions but they give me heart burn sometimes. A little broccoli is ok.....cabbage is OUT LOL And I dont like ice cream anymore so thats out too. Yogurt is ok sometimes but Im not a yogurt fan..... >> Strangely enough, I've eaten just about everything (all of the above and more - one of my favorite Chinese dishes is Chicken with green peppers! ) and didn't experience severe gas. The things I have had B*A*D reactions to are kiwi seeds (just the other night - it was really terrible), broccoli the first time I ate it post-op within the first three weeks (now I eat it without problem) and the first time I had stir-fried chicken and celery (it seemed like some of the fibers either got stuck or irritated my stomach and upper intestines). I've had celery since then and didn't have problems. I have milk all the time and (so far) haven't had reactions to it or other milk products. I've had spicy stuff (Thai and Asian mainly) and tolerated them well. But, I've pretty much eaten the same things I did as a pre-op. I haven't really had 'new' cuisine and stuff I hadn't previously tried before. Maybe I'll experience more intestinal upset with those kinds of things? My main complaint (since about 5-6 months out) is that I DON'T want to eat much at all. I was weird in that I did eat immediately post-op (got 75 gms/protein in right out of the hospital). I ate small meals but still felt hungry. Now, I'm just not hungry at ALL! I get my protein in but I have to remind myself to eat a lot of the time. I'm on a pretty big plateau, so maybe that has something to do with it. I've heard that eating really does break the plateau (especially high fat items). I had a dunkin' donuts cream-filled yesterday but still am at 225 and holding.... sigh. I walk almost daily (at least a mile) and make it a point to stay active. I try to drink as many liquids as I can (water and crystal light iced tea, etc.).... My body is just holdin' out, I guess! all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
