Guest guest
Delete that email--I saw it on the news and received notice on FB. They can access all your passwords if you log in using that email. I would get gmail, hotmail or yahoo and pick a name. Use that to post to the group if you don't want your ISP to go public. I use gmail so I can archive recipes and messages. I usually forget and post my real name though ;-). I keep an alternate but half the time forget to log in as that. There's lots of free email sites. Debbie 40 cd How do I hide my email address from group users? I have never got spam on this account, even though I have been using it for about a year now. I suspect a Spammer got my address from this list. I thought I saw something about hiding your address from other members, but I can't find it now. Do I have to make my profile private? I just got an scam e-mail titled " Facebook Password Reset Confirmation! " and this is not the e-mail address I use on Facebook. It was From: customer@... but it's addressed To: mmamamirian@... Guest guest
OK so I went to Edit My Membership & noticed something that might be the problem. My Yahoo! Profile is the same as my email address. Luck for me, I already created an alias. I've changed that, plus the email address. Hope this works. Didn't really want to use my gmail for this group, but I'll adjust. Has anyone written a book on how to stay safe on Yahoo? I have looked in the help files & I couldn't find what I needed. Maybe if we had a " Safety Rules " document in our files it would be nice. :}
Guest guest
Testing one more time. When I opened the last message, My e-mail was in full view, so I changed it to another account & when I open the same message doesn't show it. ??? I have to see what it does with this address. Guest guest
Yup, it's showing again, but I don't care. This address has become my junk account anyway. > > Testing one more time. Guest guest
Any web-based address should work if you do not use your real name or one related to FB, MySpace, etc. You could also do web only under membership options and not receive emails or not send them. Just bookmark it but if you asked a question--it's the same problem. Debbie Yup, it's showing again, but I don't care. This address has become my junk account anyway. >> Testing one more time.
