Guest guest
Hey all,I was unable to properly finish intro diet and reintroduce foods slowly because I had housing problems etc. trouble, so I just started f******* eating foods as soon as I could get them down my throat, without pain. 5 years later, I haven't had d* for yrs, I figured out that frozen packaged winter squash was causing problems, psychiatric pills were causing problems, and a vitamin C supplement (not a great idea, I know, wasn't my first choice (desperate)) were causing problems. I eliminated them, just finished eliminating the vitamin C (took 2 months+ to taper), that helped so freaking much my immune system stopped attacking my adrenals and I was able to (could not longer tolerate actually) the herbal medicine I was taking for them. then my liver crashed and I am pulling out of that knock on wood with " milk thistle + " and beets. however, I'm still bloated. I am a part time student, I have bad PTSD, I've been missing a lot of work. My boss has given me spring break off next week, but looks like I really have to get back after that. I am thinking maybe I should attempt a form of intro diet. However, I have severe deficiencies, minerals and some vitamins (huge vitamin A deficiency and vitamin D, am supplementing fish oils for that). I have trouble functioning, mentally and physically. every different food I eat helps so much, I am afraid to give anything up. I don't really have anyone to help me take care of myself. I've been looking at the intro diet and the stages. I am confused. I don't know how far back I will have to go, how strict I will have to be, and how fast I can reintroduce foods. Can anyone please offer me some guidance and advice? I also just ordered some acidophilous and scd yeast, but it won't get here until end of next week.thank you so much,
Guest guest
, If you have been eating off the diet, go all the way back to intro. You should only do it a few days. Don't worry about getting deficiencies over that short time. Try to make some soup. Stop supplements for the time on intro. Then add foods slowly. A good guide is on pecanbread.com. You do not have to follow the non dairy recommendations on that site, and you can have regular SCD yogurt and legal cheese as tolerated.
