Guest guest
How did you get a panni without the wls? thx gh Just my dumb luck, I guess! Dr. Anthone likes doing them on folks with high BMI and pendulous abdomen fat. Mine was on the small side (20 lbs) and did not really impede my mobility, but whatever helps get that BMI down to reduce risk, I can deal with. Naturally, the incision did not stay sewn shut, and I ended up with a gaping incision 31 inches from side seam to side seam and 6 inches deep. LOVELY. Went back into the hosp/transitional care unit for 3 weeks of therapy on a vacuum assist wound closure device which got it down to 29 inches or so and 2 to 3 inches deep. Now, 12 weeks out or so, I am down to 27 inches and a half to quarter of an inch. Haven't gained back the 20 lbs, but did gain back another 20 I lost not eating hospital food (gack). So now I am waiting for a DS date and living live without a belly button but with daily dressing changes. WHOOPEE.
