People who have allergies to milk protein run the possible risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. The recalled Apple Pie flavored Veggie Yogurt was distributed through distribution centers in the following states: FL, CT, MA, WI, TN, VA, NY, OH, PA and the Dominican Republic for further distribution to retail stores possibly nationwide. The product comes in a 6 ounce, single serve white plastic container with a peelable lidding stock with UPC #0-77172-66765-2 with an expiration date of NOV 19, 01 S4R2 stamped on the bottom. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a milk protein-containing product was produced prior to the dairy-free Veggie Yogurt, even though the equipment was thoroughly cleaned. This may have resulted in a possible cross-mixing of the Apple Pie flavored Veggie Yogurt that was distributed to limited retail markets. Consumers who have purchased the 6 ounce packages of Apple Pie flavored Veggie Yogurt that are allergic to milk proteins are urged to dispose the product and contact Galaxy Nutritional Foods directly at 1- to receive a full refund for their purchase and to address any questions they may have.
