I could open a little less than 2 fingers postop. I'm up to about 30

cm 7.5 weeks postop, and still working on it. I'm doing stretching

exercises: just practicing opening your mouth wide, and pressing on

my jaws with fingers to stretch the muscles. Getting to normal

opening is a pretty slow process, at least for me, but seems to work

little by little.

Are you sure you can open your mouth 30 cm wide?! That's a lot of

centimeters, I have never heard of anyone even with a good jaw being

able to open that wide (it's about the length of a standard ruler,

like the ones we used to use at school to draw margins on A4 paper) I

might have misread your message...either that or you have the most

amazing mouth!

I am 2 months post op and can only break a Mcs cheeseburger into

little tiny pieces! No biting!

I being a math teacher am thinking...2.5 cm is an inch so thats about

10 - 12 inches which is a foot. You have one hell of a mouth!!!

No I thought immediately 3 cm!
