Guest guest
Sorry you couldn't get coverage, Bob. I have known several people, in Coast Guard, in Army, Air Force and in Navy, who had the surgery done at military hospitals, by military surgeons -- and I can't think of one who wasn't happy with the results. Sometimes the military adds its own constraints, which can foul up the timing -- I remember one young woman who was headed for pilot training, but couldn't do that until she was out of braces. There have been some, also, who had to be put in a holding pattern and have the braces removed while they were on regular duty (darned if I understand why, but then I'm not in and have never been in the military. Good wishes to you! Cammie > > > > Hello, I'm new to this support. I have tricare (military > insurance > > for dependents) Does anyone know if they will cover orthognatic > > surgery. Guest guest
Glad to hear that, Bob. We've had a high number of guardsmen from this area who've been posted to Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq -- some of them in the most deadly areas. I guess that heightens awareness. While I have some severe misgivings about what the U. S. is doing there, and how we got into it, I don't have any misgivings at all about the obligations to our servicemen we should all shoulder cheerfully, and when the military (or their civilian employers) let them down, I feel that all of us are let down. Again, far as I know everyone who's had a military surgeon and a military hospital procedure has fared really well. Best, Cammie > > > > > > > > Hello, I'm new to this support.
