Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been lurking, but wanted to introduce myself and let you know what a great support group this is...I've found so much information on here that is relative to someone PostOp like myself. My surgery was done 11/14/2001 at USC hospital by Dr. Namir Katkhouda. At 1 yr postop, I was down 99 lbs and am now down 107 lbs at 18 mos. My weight loss stopped pretty much at the 12 month point and I still would like to lose about 60 more lbs, so I've recently been doing Atkins and starting again to work out (water aerobics and racquetball are my favorites, though I injured myself and so can only do water aerobics right now). I'm getting married July 4th and would love to get under 200, and am striving diligently to do so. My weight had bounced around and settled at 238.5 from a low of 231.5. With Atkins for the past 2 weeks I'm back down to the low, but geeze I'm wondering why it is so hard to get beyond this point. I'm drinking protein drinks, sticking to Atkins (20-25 carbos a day) and drinking 100oz of water...also taking my vitamins. I'm happy to have jump started my weightloss again but my weight seems stuck (I lost those 7lbs the first week and nothing this week!) Any suggestions? Anyway it is a pleasure to be a member of this group and I'm looking forward to talking to you and getting to know you.
