I had both jaws done last August and stayed overnight. For one jaw

surgery Kaiser typicaly releases the same day. Not sure if this is

typical for other hospitals.

Hi,

I am having upper/lower and I am classified as an outpatient. The way it works

is after your surgery, they bring you to your room and then you leave within 23

hrs of being " admitted " to your room. So you spend one night in the hospital.

I know the outpatient stay is common but some people may need to stay longer.
