Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I had surgery on May 13th, 2004. So far I've lost 23 pounds. Is there a norm for the amount of weight you should be losing? I started out at 261 and I'm down to 238. I've been walking about 1 1/2 miles a day or working out at Curves and I was back to work after a week. I had the open procedure but I feel great. I've already started on pureed food and I feel much better now that I can actually eat something. Is there any problem foods anyone would recommend to stay clear of in the beginning? I hear fresh bread is a big issue. What about lettuce? Someone told me to steer clear of that also. Also, do you just eat 3 meals a day or do you eat little meals throughout the day? I've been doing 3 meals with a snack usually in the am and sometimes at night. I can't tell though if I'm hungery but I'm just trying to keep my protein intake up. I still can't get above 40 grams a day. Usually I'm in the low 30's even with a protein shake.
