Guest guest
I'm curious if anybody can open their mouth mouth as wide as they could before surgery. I don't know how wide I could open my mouth pre- surgery, but I know it's been 13 days since my surgery and I can fit 2 fingers in my mouth, a little more than an inch. So how many days/weeks/months are you post op, and how wide can you open your mouth
Guest guest
I can now but it took a good two months to get to that point (I am 5 months post op now). I recall worrying about this a few weeks after surgery and was even told by my OS that if it did not improve he would put me out to open it for me. I guess that was just the incentive I needed because shortly afterward it improved. You really should consult with your OS though to make sure you don't overdo anything though. I would say that everything pretty much returned to normal about 2 1/2 months post op except for the numbness. I still don't feel a whole lot of anything in the roof of my mouth. > > I'm curious if anybody can open their mouth mouth as wide as they > could before surgery.
