Hi Gunn,

This may be the effect of the position you were on the table during surgery.

I've also read in a report sometime ago (sorry I can't remember which one)

where the doctor said that sometimes minor nerves are " disturbed " or even

cut. This can cause a numbness which eventually goes away.

I had a similar thing, except mine was in my butt. LOL That is a weird

feeling. For the first week I had a difficult time telling when a BM was

eminent. Mine took about 2 months to completely clear up. I didn't get any

" electric shock " type pain, but that could be the nerves trying to get

working again.

What you describe sounds like something I had when I was pregnant with one on

my kids. The only bad part was it stayed, I was told it was pressure of my

enlarging stomach putting pushing against the nerves that supply feeling in

my thighs sometimes I would get a very sharp burning pain, so the only thing

that worked for me was to pull the pressure off of the area which wasn't an

easy job.

I hope this helps

Nadine
