Guest guest
Here's my personal opinion on self esteem - change of this nature comes from within. You don't need surgery to feel better about yourself. There are lots of professionals out there that can help with self- esteem issues and I'd suggest you speak with your general physician about it - perhaps he/she can refer you to someone they know who can help. Yes, we live in a world that places inordinate value on skin-deep beauty, but that doesn't mean we should or need to subject ourselves to invasive and risky procedures just to " fit in " or be " successful " . Again, just my opinion, but from someone who has been on both sides of the so-called " normal " looking fence. I'd trade my new face for my old anyday. > > > > > > Hi guys,my right jaw was abit unbalance with the left jaw,I am a > > > Singaporean,I was hesistated wheather should i go for > operation. My > > > parent was pretty against it.My heart was so hurt and confused.I > > was > > > afraid of side effects and what if my operation fail. What happen > if > > > after operation,it become more worse than i used to. Guest guest
That depends on the extent and the sort of work you're having done. Most people do have some bruising and some swelling. Some people have quite a lot of both. When that subsides, you may look very different, or you may look pretty much the same. (I'm one of those " looks the same " people.) Look at the photographs of befores and afters, if you wish to compare. Also, ask your doctors if they have any photographs who had surgery to fix the same sort of problems you have, and what they predict for the outcome of your surgery.
