If the shoes are not causing him discomfort or pain, leave them on.

Make sure when he has his free time-that the sore is uncovered and

getting air-I know it may sound weird and all, but air seems to be

the best healer for these sores. When the shoe is on-you can get a

corn cushion pad-a circular pad with a hole cut out of it that

allows the sore to breath but provides enough padding to not keep

irritating it. As long as he tolerates the shoes, I would leave them

on. J and J makes a blister block pad that works well as well to

provide cushioning so that it doesnt get worse.

Did you do the gauze as I described? Glad his little foot is better. It its

getting better, leave them on, and continue with the gauze! What I do with my

daughter is 1 hr out in the morning, and 1hr out at night. This is 22hrs in

which is acceptable to Dr. Ponseti himself, so it is Ok to do! It also gives you

piece of mind, and you can keep a good eye on those littel feet
