Guest guest
If the shoes are not causing him discomfort or pain, leave them on. Make sure when he has his free time-that the sore is uncovered and getting air-I know it may sound weird and all, but air seems to be the best healer for these sores. When the shoe is on-you can get a corn cushion pad-a circular pad with a hole cut out of it that allows the sore to breath but provides enough padding to not keep irritating it. As long as he tolerates the shoes, I would leave them on. J and J makes a blister block pad that works well as well to provide cushioning so that it doesnt get worse. hth, kathleen > > As mentioned in a previous post, Austin developed a pressure sore on > his foot. Guest guest
Did you do the gauze as I described? Glad his little foot is better. It its getting better, leave them on, and continue with the gauze! What I do with my daughter is 1 hr out in the morning, and 1hr out at night. This is 22hrs in which is acceptable to Dr. Ponseti himself, so it is Ok to do! It also gives you piece of mind, and you can keep a good eye on those littel feet --------------------------------- Yahoo! Shopping Find Great Deals on Holiday Gifts at Yahoo!
