Guest guest
Grant had his tenotomies yesterday. Dr. Koop wanted to do it in the OR because of it being a sterile environment, so we had to prep. I thought it was going to be really tough, but it turned out really well. Grant sat on daddy's lap and grinned at everybody while getting his blood pressure, temp, weight, and all that good stuff done. Grant is now sporting a plaster cast covered by fiberglass full-length casts. Yikes. It is hard to change a boy's diapers with these things! He peed in the upper part of the cast and pooped on the back side of it. LOL One incision bled a bit more than the other, but overall it went well. Dr. Koop said Grant has tibial torsion, also. I'm not sure if we'll be doing anything about that or not, but right now we're trying to figure out what will be the best brace to use with the spina bifida and retaining the correction.
