Almond flour is more difficult to digest. One of the problems people have

encountered with SCD is using too advanced foods too soon, and the nut flours

are one of them. People tend to tolerate the nut butters much better.

can almond butter be used in the earlier stages of SCD, but almond flour cannot

be used. They are both made from almonds and both ground very finely, so what is

the difference.

Almond butter is easier to digest (for most people) than almond flour, which is

easier to digest than whole almonds. Same with the other nuts and peanuts.

I'm one of the oddballs who found that peanut butter was tolerated early in SCD

but nut butters were not and continue to be a major issue. I can handle nut

flours IF I stick to pecan, walnut and almond flours, and use a mixture so that

there is never more than 50% almond flour. And limit myself to one nut flour

item per day.

So, some trial and error is involved, as with all things.
