Guest guest
Okay, finally got my surgery date for May 31st! It is coming so fast, I'm getting nervous. I am getting a LeFort I osteotomy with rigid fixation and a bilaterall saggital split with rigid fixation. What does that mean?? Who knows!!! I am really interested in hearing about other's experience with being wired shut. I am a speech pathologist, and the idea of being wired shut is really frightening, and i'm not sure how much talking I'll be able to do! If anyone has some advice or experiences regarding this whole process, I sure need to hear them now more than ever! Also, has anyone had any luck with certain products that are marketed for eating/drinking? For instance, the zip/squeeze bags? Anyway, hope to hear from someone!! trish
