Guest guest
I am 22 months post-op RNY and my cholesterol has steadily decreased since surgery. The recent labs suddenly show an increase of 25 points for no apparent reason. My tryglcerides also went well ( I was fasting). My TSH had also jumped higher. Could the two be related? I've been on Levoxyl .75 mcg for the past 2 years with no problems. I also had armlifts and thigh lipo 3 weeks ago. Would that have any affect? Am so disappointed as my labs were borderline and are now abnormal!

Then I remind myself that this is a support group for parents of children with Silver Syndrome; where most people make posts about their children's various conditions, successes and failiures, the good days and the bad days (and nights...oh the nights). It's where we share the stuff of our everyday lives, and once in a while discuss the more heady or techinical subjects where there could be some innovation that may benefit our children. It's not a place that I look for the type of scientific debate being suggested. This is not a scientific forum discussing the merits of various research papers. Most of those suggested have nothing to do with Children, let alone Silver Syndrome. We think this is not the correct place to debate this subject. Lots of members of this group have much more important everyday issues with their children, and if anybody has any practical advice for them then I am sure that it would be welcome. Once again, this is a support group, not a scientific debate. Damian and Jody
