Hi,

Curious if anyone on here has low stomach acid. We went to see a nutritionist

today for my daughter who is 21 with Rett syndrome and who has been on SCD for 4

months now. After listening to us and my daughter's history she feels that it

could stem from low stomach acid. When she explained what happens with low

stomach acid it made alot of sense so curious if anyone else has encountered

this. My daughter has had alot of intestinal distress over the years on a daily

basis with lots of foods that give her problems, intolerance of almost all

supplements and probiotics and intoleracne of anti-reflux medications.

She described that when you have low stomach acid, the rest of the system along

with digestive enzymes and peristalsis, etc. don't work well. She wants us to

try the juice of 1/2 lemon mixed with some warm water and a little honey with

each meal along with a digestive enzyme to see if there is any improvement. She

said you need that stomach acid for the digestive enzymes to work properly.
