Guest guest
This group has truly been a blessing to me. It is so nice to have someone who 'understands' what I am talking about. My husband, love his soul, has not a clue to the pain I feel with this heel spur and feels so totally helpless when I hurt. The doc says that it is not the spur that hurts but rather the inflammation that it is causing but so far, we have struck out on finding an anti-inflammatory that I can take. Seem to have a bad reaction to all the ones they tried so far as well as the steroids. Can you say PUFFER FISH? LOL I go back to him tomorrow and will insist that he schedule me for surgery next week if possible so that we can remove the spur and the bunion on my little toe (same foot). I can't have this flare up every 5 or 6 months especially when there is not a med I can take for it yet. As for the job, I was hired for " seasonal " work so the normal rules don't really apply to me. They had me working all the time but never 'upgraded' me to a real employee ....... I think he does that on purpose. I will know more about that on Friday. I really don't want to work for him anymore given that I have seen his true colors over the past week. I have lost all respect for that man. Anyway, thank you all for the info and for the understanding on what I feel. Just knowing that I am not insane where this is concerned helps me. I have really enjoyed this group and have learned a lot so far. Looking forward to getting to know everyone better when I am not so drugged up on pain meds = ) I have tried to not type too much in this state of mind LOL. ICE -- Re: what about books? Just a little tid bit of information: Wear as much of a heel as you can, not high heel shoes but certainly not flat heel shoes. The more elevation you have the less pressure on the heel. Also you may want to cut a piece of foam rubber padding and fit it in the heel of your shoe. It also helps to cut out the center to make it sort of a donut for your heel. Hope this will be of help.
