Guest guest
All, We have an older baby (~16mo) and we'd like to get a consultation with a CT clinician; it sounds like some CT offices are more okay with banding older babies than others, and we have to travel to an office in any case, so we're interested in finding out which offices are the most receptive to trying with older babies. Also, if there are any which aren't receptive that we should avoid. We realize we may not get a huge improvement, it's not a really severe case, but we'd like to try to mitigate the asymmetry as much as we can. (We're closest to the Pasadena and San Diego offices and have spoken with them, they seem pretty friendly so far.) Thanks,
Guest guest
I think you'll just have to go to the one closest to you and start from there. The evals are free. I wouldn't say one office in general is better than any others. CT as a whole is more likely to band an older baby (mine included, 17 months out of Charlotte) than almost all other band companies, it just depends on your situation, if they feel it will work for you baby. I'm surprised by 's earlier comment about her experience at the CT in Virginia, because that's the first I've heard of CT discouraging banding an older baby based solely (seemingly) on the age. So I think that's definitely not the norm. What did the CT offices say when you called? Do you have an appointment for an evaluation? (More importantly, do you have a prescription from a doctor, because that's really the first step in the whole process).
