Guest guest
Daun, I have taken the Loritab at work but not the 2 tablespoons that it says to take. I would take 1/2 or 1 teaspoon and that would work just as if I took the full dose and I would not get sleepy (and all that other way it makes you feel). Also, Extra Strength Tylenol may work. That is a pain med you can take. Also, make sure you are drinking enough water. Make sure your kidneys are getting flushed out really well. Hang in there. Guest guest
Pam, Thanks for the info. I'll try taking a small dose at home and see that works at home. That makes sense about the water intake. I'll try to get another glass in and see if it helps. Thanks again, Daun Re: Pain Remedy Suggestions? Daun, I have taken the Loritab at work but not the 2tablespoons that it says to take. Guest guest
Hi Daun, Your PCP can still find some meds that are Ok for you. I would still make an appointment with him. I have problems with mine and I am on Flexiril. I told the PCP that I saw and he said that I shouldn't have any problems with it and I haven't had any so far. Guest guest
Ramona, Thanks for the info on the medicine. I see my PCP next week - i'll mention it to her. Still havent' heard anything from SSF. It's kind of disappointing - but expected at the same time. I am 15 weeks out, and still waiting to be scheduled for my 6 week follow up... Thanks again, Daun Re: Pain Remedy Suggestions? Guest guest
Daun , I would call SSF and talk to the operator and tell her you need to make an appointment in the Bariatric department. That happened to me where my appointment didn't get made for whatever reason. You don't want to leave a message they will transfer you to the appropriate department to make your appointment. Guest guest
Daun, If you're 15 weeks out and still waiting for your six week follow-up, you need to call and actually TALK to someone - you may just have slipped through the cracks somehow. Call during the day when they're in the office and if you can't get through, call the SSF operator and ask to have her put you through to someone for an appointment. Sometimes you just have to be assertive. Cathy C. > > Ramona, > > Thanks for the info on the medicine. I see my PCP next week - i'll mention it to her. > > Still havent' heard anything from SSF. Guest guest
Hey Daun, Try chiropractic! Since the weight loss, your back is moving around... the natural curve is trying to come back from the mess that fatness made of it. As we haul around those extra pounds, our back adjusts to haul the flubber around. As we lose weight, the back can't always come back to it's natural curve without a little manipulation. Pain drugs won't fix that, neither will seeing a regular doctor....but my chiropractor sure did. Randy and I both did without pain meds as fast as we could, all that does is make you drowsy and that is not a good thing. I hope this helps!
