a milestone....

I've been happy about my health and semi-satisfied with my weight

loss...I've totally stuck at 185...I've lost 70 pounds total and

about fifty since surgery in January. My doctor (the wls surgeon) is

pleased...he says I need to lose only about 40 more lbs and I'll be

great. Those numbers don't sound so fantastic as when people lose

over 100 pounds, but the main thing is...my health is perfect...as

opposed to what it was before....which was scary dangerous. My heart

rate was so high , at one point it reached 195!!! Now, under 80!!!

(except at the gym)

OK!! My huge milestone came on Thursday! I know the weight has

melted me. I went to Hurricane Harbor, and the inner tube slid right

off me! Last year I went with a friend...a very good friend, the kind

that doesn't make rude comments or laugh when I had to have her help

pull the damn tube off me and my boobs got stuck. So here we were on

Thursday, I know I wear a smaller size now, but my head doesn't

quite process it yet. I'm in a 16-18 , but I am very very

conservative and nervous about tight clothes. So anyway, here I was,

in my tube, and I could slide out with ease, crawl into or on top of

the thing easily, and when I let go, it slid right to the ground

with no effort!!! I felt like a mermaid in the water! I had wondered

about it all week, I figured that would be proof to my head that I

am a bit thinner too. The coolest part came when her daughter, who

is 14 said.. " Sue, you look great! " and with her hands did that curvy

woman shape in the air!!!! ( I guess I'll have to add her in my will

now!)

So there was proof that I am thinner, cool!

Hugs to all and thank you for the blessing that this group has

brought Randy and me.

SueThis is so great and you had so much fun also. It is great to hit so many milestones and now be so active. Keep trying new and wonderful things and being active, it makes life so enjoyable. I just flew by myself for the first time for vacation to Colorado, what a beautiful place, it was wonderful to see my sister and have a great time. My next exciting thing in August I'm going to go Parasailing, never done always wanted to, so I am. You keep up the good work and take care and enjoy.
