Guest guest
Damaris - I know you don't know me, but I've been on the list for quite awhile lurking. I have had two kidney transplants, one in 1977 when I was 21, which failed in 1990 and I got the second kidney in 1990 - 16 years ago. I live a completely normal life, except for the medications I have to take and I really did gain quite a bit of weight - which is why I'm on this list! Anyway, don't give up hope. It's not the end. It's just learning a new way to live a really good life. Keep your spirits up any way you can. This too shall pass. in Cupertino PS - I had a baby exactly 16 months after my first transplant. My daughter is a beautiful, healthy, happy grownup.
