Guest guest
If you are not having surgery until Monday, July 10th, why are you not eating? You are not going to be any good post surgery if you dod not eat properly prior to having surgery. Starving won't assist with losing more weight..it as just the opposite effect. You should not start anytype of liquid stuff until the day prior if memory serves me correctly. I had my surgery Feb 8 2005 and I know a lot of things have changed since I had surgery but I did not think that you had to be on liquids a week prior to surgery. Eat your protein and watch your carbs....better yet, stay on the 1200 calorie eating plan that they gave you until the day prior when you are suppose to do the liquid thing. I wish you well . Guest guest
The Dr. wanted me to lose 10 lbs. before mon. and I am diabebetic as well so my weight never goes up or down. He started me on this two weeks before and in the first week I lost not one pound. I think he wants me to go slowly and end up on liquid by the last to days, but my stomach has hurt so much when I put food in it that I have almost just stopped. And to top it all off I have not had a period in almost five years and now I am trying to start. > > > I have almost stop eating pending surgery this > > Monday. I was only > > having one meal a day. Guest guest
Let me start by saying I am not a doctor. I would like to share my concern with you, starvation is not the goal here. Your body must have a source of protein at some point in the day or it will start to shut down. Even a protein shake would do. We arent talking 16 oz. you can do as little as 6oz. and still be ok. Something in my gut tells me you need more information if you are having these kind of side affects from his direction. Can you call him and just ask for him to reitterate his directive? Something seems off... I hope you hang in there...
