Guest guest
Randy Glad you got reports back from your oncologist. I will still keep good thoughts for you and keep you in my prayers.I was 270 at orientation, but 228 at surgery and 138 in 5 months after surgery. I only felt weak and tired when I became anemic and my body wasn't absorbing the vitamins right. Once the doctor upped all my vitamins a lot. After about 2 weeks I felt great, I did labs every month and as things looked good I went down on the vitamins, but due to not absorbing well I still take more than many WLS people. I have felt great 6months to now which is just a few days past 14 months post op. My lap scares faded really by the 6 month post op, at my one year Dr Baggs couldn't even find some (I had 7, he only could find 4). Everything is great now can't wait until the day I start plastic surgery, that won't be until 2008. Hope this is helpful. Take care. Good to see Ron back and feeling good, and I am really impressed by Cecelia's turnaround. Cecelia, keep posting here and we'll give you the support you need. I have a couple of questions. Anyone out there who weighed about 280- 300 at surgery and lost half their weight? If so, how long didi it take and did you feel weak at any time? Also - how long has it taken for lap scars to fade for you folks? Thanks - Randy P.S. Go Lilka! Donna JordonDSJordon@... How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Yes Donna J very hel[ful thanks. I am now around 205, maintained, of courrse,. by the tube feeding., which gives me around 2500-2750 calories per day., Once I can eat again, of course that will drop to around 1200, so I iwlll lose a lot more weight, maybe as much as another 70-80 pounds, and I am much weaker than I was at the time of my surgery. Best they can do is just keep an eye on me. thanks Randy Saw my radiation oncologist for the six week followup and got pretty > good reports. > > Good to see Ron back and feeling good, and I am really impressed by > Cecelia's turnaround.
