New Support Group - Livermore

We now have a Support Group in the Tri-Valley area, which meets on the

third Tuesday evening of each month at the Livermore Kaiser. It has

been added to the site Calendar, but I wanted to give some advance

notice so that anyone interested can make plans to attend. It is a

peer-led group for both pre-ops and post-ops. Hope to see some of you

there on July 18!

The facilitator is Joyce W., a post-op of about 2-1/2 or 3 years. She

had her bypass done at Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego, back when

Kaiser was sending most of its patients there. She lost 240 pounds,

and has maintained most of it. She belongs to the same gym as we do

and is at Lifestyles RX at least 5x a week.

Guess how I just stupidly wasted much of this evening? I went all the

way out to Fremont Kaiser (46 miles round trip via the backroads)for

their Support Group, only to discover that it was the wrong week!

It's twice a month and was two weeks ago, so I just automatically

headed out there without checking the calendar to see if today was the

2nd or 4th week of the month. Hopefully, I won't repeat this mistake

AGAIN.
