Guest guest
What I have heard is you basically have to be at goal and not fluctuated much....The reason being that if you have gone on an eating binge and gained weight it can make the liver enlarge and be a problem during the surgery....AND the medical staff might not think you are ready for this new life if you have gained a lot of weight....That is what they told a friend of mine who had gained and was refused surgery the day of....but she had gained more than a few pounds back.... but another friend got the surgery at SSF and had not come close to goal.... so I guess it is up the individual doctors... I was wondering for stage II it has down plan yogurt I've never really had the stuff, to me it's just sour milk is there anything I can mix it with or replace it with something else. Guest guest
Danny Congradulations on the weight lose, and that your appointment went well. I'm 15 months post op and can't remember what's on stage II, but I never did yogurt. I did more cottage cheese, if eggs are stage II, I did scrambled eggs with cheese. Someone who is not far from stage II will get back to you. I just wanted to say keep up the good work. Take care. Guest guest
Danny, you don't have to eat the yogurt just because it is on the list. You can pick from the other things and leave that out all together but it is totally up to you. I did try to eat yogurt many years ago but never liked it. Post surgery, I picked what I liked to eat from the list and that is what I ate. If there was something like say for instances " eggs " . Well, I don't eat eggs so I eliminated that from the list of things to eat. I wish you well and congrats on the weight loss! Be encouraged.
